Blogmas #9 - A Stunning Sunset for an Evening Walk

The coast is one of my absolute favourite places to be, whatever the time of year. Everyone has that one serene place that they can escape to, unwind and forget about the stresses of everyday life. I find it so peaceful to get lost in the gentle crashing sounds of the waves and I have always loved the smell of the fresh sea air. I hope to get my own little cottage by the sea some day so that I can venture out onto the sandy beaches and go for relaxing walks whenever I want.

Blakeney is probably one of the most picturesque seaside villages in Norfolk, with uninterrupted views of the coastline, random little boats dotted around the place and it is also the breeding ground for many adorable little seals at this time of year (which unfortunately we were not able to see :( ). We decided to set off for an evening walk on the shortest day of the year in the hope of a nice evening sunset and we were most certainly not disappointed. The stunning golden skies combined with the breath-taking landscape made for an absolutely amazing backdrop to a cold and incredibly windy winter walk.
