Lazy Sunday

My agenda has been so hopelessly busy recently that I haven't been able to stop, have a relaxing day to recharge my batteries and escape the hectic pace of life, so I decided to dedicate today to push everything aside and have a guilt free lazy day.

After waking up at 11, which may not sound much but it is a pretty good lay in for someone that doesn't normally get to sleep in past 9, I decided to grab a coffee, make myself some delicious summer fruit pancakes and have a Hobbit marathon before going to watch The Battle of five armies next week. I have always been a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings series of films and books growing up so I'm not sure whether I should be excited or sad about watching the final instalment of something that was such a big part of my childhood, especially after listening to Billy Boyd's amazing song tribute of The Last Goodbye.

I am currently trying my best to change to a healthier eating kinda lifestyle, so fruit smoothies have become my new addiction. They make a great healthy snack or breakfast and you can pretty much try any combination you want depending on the fruit that you like, Mango & Passion-fruit and Cherry & Banana are my current favourites!

Another thing that I have been trying to do is find time to read more books. I tend to pick up and put down a book so much that it takes so long to finish and I often forget what has happened since last reading it. I am reading Dan Brown's Inferno at the moment and I would definitely recommend it to anyone that likes an intense page turner with plenty of action and plot twists.

Finally my friend brought round a Christmas present for me today, which turned out to be a combination of two of my favourite things, coffee and Game of Thrones, in the form of a pretty awesome mug!

What do you like to do on your lazy days?
