When looking up to successful people, it is easy to think that they were just handed opportunities because they got lucky, or that they were born with this talent, but the truth is that they are no different to you or me except for the fact that they put in the effort, sometimes pouring their heart and soul into something that they are passionate about. Comedians aren't born funny, they have to put in hours of rehearsals in front of the mirror and time into thinking of original ways to make people laugh. Athletes aren't born the fastest or the strongest, they have to have the passion and motivation to put in hours of practice on the training ground to condition themselves.You can't just expect success to come to you, you have to go out there and have the willpower to achieve your dream.
Nobody is perfect, if your goal is to become perfect then you are almost certainly going to fail. One of the biggest mistakes that people make is trying to be someone that they're not or having certain opinions just to find success or to make people like you, but then you lose the most valuable trait that you have, being you. Only you can have your own voice and opinions. We are so lucky to live in a world with more freedom to be who we want to be, have our own unique views and opinions and the opportunity to follow our dreams, so don't waste this opportunity by trying to be someone else, work hard and do the things that make you happy while trying to become the best you can be, and you will become successful in the process
Stepping outside your comfort zone is another important part of finding success at something, its going to be uncomfortable knowing that you are almost certainly going to fail to begin with but it is the lessons that you learn by failing that ensure that you become good at it. Sometimes you only see the successful parts of peoples lives, you don't get to experience the hours and hours of effort and many failures that they went through to to get where they are today, so don't worry if you don't accomplish your goals straight away, with a little patience and determination you can do it!
As always, and most importantly, believe in yourself.
