Warning: May Contain Sunset Porn

A warm summer evening, the smell of tasty, smokey barbecue burgers in the air, loud music, lots of laughter and friends well into the night. A sandy late afternoon stroll along the magnificent coastline, breathing in the fresh sea air with seagulls squawking overhead as the sun starts to sink in the sky. Brisk Autumnal/Winter walks through the open countryside, wrapped up like a little parcel in thick layers to keep warm. These are all the best times to experience the stunning phenomena that are sunsets.

There is something about Humans that just draws us to watching these beautiful, memorising golden skies appear as the sun drops below the horizon, they can make even the most boring and desolate landscape, on a cold and miserable day, look completely amazing. As you can probably tell, I absolutely love sunsets, they just have this way of making you feel all warm and happy inside just by looking at them. Sometimes, When I am having a bit of a stressful or demotivated day, I love to find a nice landscape to put on my headphones and just sit down to watch the sky change from the usual distinct blue to an orangey yellow, turning everything in sight, the tips of the trees, the grass, every single little building, into a stunning shade of gold, I find it really helps me to forget about the stresses of life for a little while. I even changed my running time to late in the evening so that I had the gorgeous sky as a backdrop to motivate and inspire me to exercise (it works) and there is a really steep hill near where I live, and at the top you can pretty much see the whole Lincoln for miles around, needless to say this makes a beautiful landscape to watch the sunset.

Another great thing about sunsets is that they make amazing photos, most of the time you can literally take a picture of anything and a sunset backdrop will make it look stunning! Recently we have been having sooo many gorgeous wintry sunsets, and if you follow me on Instagram you will know that it is pretty much a tribute to sunsets, so I though I would share with you some of my favourite pictures from over the past few months for you to hopefully enjoy having a look at!

Where is your favourite place to watch the sun set?
